An Afghan all-over Heriz rug, knotted by hand with hand-carded, hand-spun, vegetable-dyed wool.

A historic design with roots in the village weaving traditions of the Heriz region of northwestern Persia, woven today by master weavers in northern Afghanistan. Repeating stylized floral, lotus, diamond and leaf motifs in flowing arabesques.
